Simon [or Symond] arrived in Virginia in 1637

Simon was born in England, came to America, settling in the eastern area of the Lynhaven Parish, Lower Norfolk Co., VA, (now Princess Anne County) which is where he died. Sarah was the widow of Gilbert Gaye, then she married Simon. After Simon's death, she remarried to ? Pigot or Piggott.

2. Simon2 Hancock (William1) was born in England ABT. 1610. Simon died 1654 in Lower Norfolk, Virginia.

He married Sarah Gye in Lower Norfolk, Virginia, August 26, 1647. Sarah died 1689 in Lower Norfolk, Virginia. Sarah became the mother of Ann Hancock in Lower Norfolk, Virginia, ABT. 1652. Sarah became the mother of William Hancock in Henrico, Virginia, 1648. Sarah became the mother of Simon Hancock in Henrico, Virginia, 1649. Sarah became the mother of Robert Hancock in Henrico, Virginia, 1650.

Simon became the father of Ann Hancock in Lower Norfolk, Virginia, ABT. 1652. Simon became the father of William Hancock in Henrico, Virginia, 1648. Simon became the father of Simon Hancock in Henrico, Virginia, 1649. Simon became the father of Robert Hancock in Henrico, Virginia, 1650.
